France - Bikes & Pippa
Having had such a good time cycling in France, and since Pips had long had a yen for driving to France, we combined the two and took the bikes with the car and went cycling and camping and exploring and eating and strolling and eating - oh, did I mention eating?

Barn
I couldn't resist taking this photo of the inside of an old barn that was by the side of the track.
We'd passed a very nice house just a few moments before,
with a terrace and a swimming pool overlooking the valley from the small promontory where it was shaded by trees on one side.Zooming down the hill there was this place. It was funny that almost every dwelling place we'd passed seemed to have been built in the 15th Century for some nobleman. I mean look at this place! At the bottom of the hill we turned over the bridge to come out at Corn. Unfortunately the last few kilometers weren't as pleasant going back as they had been on the way out. They were laying fresh tarmac and had sprinkled gravel over everything that they hadn't rolled in. Consequently it was difficult to ride on and worrying whenever a car sped past in the opposite direction. But we made it.
Sweaty Lunch
We didn't change, we didn't care, we had lunch in the nice restaurant that was part of the campsite, chambre d'hote, La Belle Epoque where we were staying. The restaurant was raised by comparison to the ground on this side, since it was built on the side of a hill, consequently it was almost like being in a tree-house.
