I really liked Toulouse, it had some beautiful buildings, big parks and a nice feel.  It sort of reminded me of Barcelona in a way.

I'd gone to the park to go to the Natural History Museum but it was Monday and lots of places, including most bakers, shut on Monday's.  Which was a disappointment and would be to Mattéo too, which turned out to be the case when we met up later.

This park though was very large and a nice cool place to stroll.  Some of the plants were signed too, to tell you what they were, but not many.  Toulouse isn't big on signs it seems.

At least I think that's what it is.  I'd ended up here more because I was following a very happy, bouncy golden retriever rather than because of any great desire to see churches and the like.  I was on a mission you see to photo dogs for Pippa.

I like those houses in the background, they are like Barcelona, the ensanche, don't you think?
