Simonburn
North west of Hexham just off the B6320 before Wark, we found a nice little village called Simonburn. A very pretty little village that was the start for a small circular walk and the end point for tea in an idyllic little tea-shop.

Lunch Buddy
This was a nice spot for lunch, unfortunately Pips seemed to have chosen to sit on woodlouse central. Didn't spoil our appetite though - ham and lettuce sarnies, with Sainsbury's moroccan houmous, cherry toms and cherries for pud.

Pips is trying to identify the bird again, except this time she saw them: a group of chaffinches.
