A Stroll by the North Tyne
A lovely sunny May day was the setting for a stroll by the North Tyne to get a pub lunch and then stroll back. Didn't go quite according to plan of course. I think the pub being shut at lunch time had a lot to do with it.

Detour
This was a short detour down to a small valley and then back up through the woods. It was to avoid a large house, which, coincidentally was a kennels. I'd had enough of dogs.
Returning
Having aborted at Birtley we head up to the ridge and head back towards the car. Panoramic views all around.
This was the most beautiful house, actually two terraced houses mores the pity, in a fantastic setting. Woods and a small stream on the north side with open fields to the south.
